The idea of a marketing firm was established in 2004 when Jim Orr,
President of Penna Flame Industries, added a marketing division to his growing business. The firm first started as Penna Flame Industry's Marketing Division located in Zelienople, Pennsylvania, just on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. The first adventures for the growing company involved supplying Penna Flame and their constituents with marketing and advertising material that has since boosted sales and attracted new customers.

Media Frogg got its official name in 2005 with its launch of its new website and extension of its services to companies outside of the steel industry.
